The Pelješki Bridge, a grandiose engineering achievement, is a key link between the mainland of Croatia and the Pelješac peninsula. Opened in July 2022, this 2,404-meter-long bridge enables uninterrupted road connectivity, bypassing the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina near Neum. Construction of the bridge took several years and involved advanced technological methods to overcome the area’s challenging conditions, including deep sea waters and seismic activity.

The Pelješki Bridge is not only an infrastructure project but also a symbol of national unity and development. Its construction was financed to a significant extent by means of the European Union, which further emphasized the importance of this project for regional connectivity and economic stability. The bridge has six columns and is designed to withstand high winds and earthquakes, ensuring long-term safety and functionality.

Traffic over the bridge has made life significantly easier for the local population, enabling faster and easier access to all parts of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
